12-16 years old
This program is designed to help our teenagers gain poise and confidence in a variety of social settings, including the basics of properly introducing themselves and introducing others, developing confidence and ease with proper table manners, and understanding that the first impression is made within a few seconds, and that it is difficult to reverse a negative one.
Students will be appropriately grouped according to age. For example, 12-14 year olds, and 15-16 year olds.
This course is designed to work well with individuals or groups, and is for both boys and girls. In addition to English, our programs can be taught in Spanish or French.
The course includes:
- Importance of greeting and exiting
- First rules of introductions
- Correct handshake and eye contact
- House rules at home and at other people’s homes
- Thank you notes
- Phone etiquette
- And more…

- American and European dining styles
- Passing food
- Soup manners
- Table talk
- Setting a proper table
- Do’s and don’ts of dining
Lessons will be directed and will include role-playing if more than one student.
Students should come properly dressed for “the occasion”. No shorts, flip-flops or baseball caps.
